AIReal Yoga™ is a leading brand of aerial yoga rooted in safety and alignment, with over 25 years of experience in the yoga and aerial world. AIReal Yoga is, yoga in the AIR, and REAL Yoga. We use an aerial hammock on a single point as a prop, while keeping the integrity of a true yoga practice.
Our method offers a wide range of styles, from restorative to power. Anyone, from the beginner to the advanced student can enjoy. Depending on how it is used, the hammock serves as a tool to either make postures easier or more challenging.
The hammock holds you, supports you, refines your postures, deepens your postures and serves as a spotting device. Our curriculum and foundation was created from extensive knowledge and experience. Deeply rooted in safety, alignment and traditional yoga.
Our Brand
AIReal Yoga™ is the first aerial yoga brand to be recognized by the Yoga Alliance. Offering a 200 hour and 300 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher trainings. Along with our 50 hour and speciality trainings that count towards continued education with the Yoga Alliance.
We offer ongoing teacher and studio support. Grow with us with module styled learning, ongoing continued education opportunities and monthly discussions and community groups.
The AIReal Yoga brand is used and taught by professional athletes, physical therapists, massage therapist yoga teachers doctors nurses, special needs, yoga teachers, and midwives, and first responders.
We partner with leading yoga brands like Wanderlust. And teach at festivals all over the world. We are the go to brand for all things aerial yoga.

Our Story
AIReal Yoga™ was started following the birth of founder Carmen Curtis’ second child and wanting to return to her yoga and Cirque roots, Carmen designed AIReal Yoga™ to use a hammock, a looped fabric that swivels freely on a single point, as a yoga prop to align, deepen stretches and safely do inversions. And to heal her body from years of Cirque and Gymnastics Performance and Career.
Carmen has worked diligently with the Yoga Alliance to create 108 postures that are safe and structurally sound for the body to practice regularly for a lifetime. There is a mis-perception that Aerial Yoga is a ‘trick’ based practice that replicates the Aerial Arts or Cirque. AIReal Yoga™ is a healing and strengthening practice that will change your body, mind and soul in the most positive ways. This practice will strengthen and align your body into a longer, stronger, more blissful you!
